The surgery itself went great, my recovery was a bit of a challenge. I ended up needing to be in the PACU for about six hours as a result of horrible nausea and lack of available meds to help with it due to the fact I have a horrible reaction to most anti-nausea meds so most of them I couldn't take. The patch they put behind my ear (can't recall the name of it) finally started to kick in and made all the difference. Got into my room, stayed for two nights, got discharged Friday morning and now resting comfortably at home  I have a couple of questions but I will post on the VSG forum.

I've tried prescription diet pills and seem to build up a tolerance after 30 lbs. Do you think you will reach "a plateau" with this surgery or just keep losing. That's one of my worries. The other is having a whole bunch of sagging skin if/after I do this.

Did the C02 give you alot of pain like me? At one point the pain was so bad I wanted to jump out of the 2nd floor room at the hospital.

Congratulations Amber.  Have been watching for your post as to how it went.  You're well on your way now.  Keep us posted.  I'm still waiting for apt to see the dietician again to get the go ahead for surgery.  I see her on the 21st Aug.  Bye for now, the best success to you...
